So when you get a Windows computer from us, it’s likely just named CFSY for the username and we don’t in practice set a password.
You may understandably want to change either of these aspects, so I’m going to help you out with some directions!
- Open the Start menu in the bottom left corner of your screen, either by clicking on the Windows icon, or you can hit the Windows key on your keyboard. Once that’s open, you don’t have to click anywhere, but you can just type “control” and Windows should find Control Panel for you. Select that, or you can hit Enter on the keyboard if it’s highlighted.
- In Control Panel, if it looks like this with relatively few options, please click on Category near the top right and select Large or Small icons, whichever is your preference. This will provide a lot more options.
- You can now select User Accounts near the bottom.
- Inside User Accounts you can then select Change your account name, or to change your password you can select Manage another account, select the account you want to change, then click Change the password.
I hope that helps! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us 🙂
