If this is new to you, I’ll explain a bit more about how these tools can help. When you copy/cut text or an image on your computer, the computer is holding that information essentially in one hand and waiting for what you want to do with it. A copy will leave the original data where it is while using cut will get rid of the data in the original location and hold on to in on “the clipboard”.
The Clipboard is simply the name of where the computer is holding your information in temporary storage. Keep in mind that it is temporary, and it’s best to Paste this information to the permanent location you want to store it in at the first opportunity. If you copy or cut more information, it will overwrite the original clipboard contents. If you restart your computer, it’ll likely wipe out the clipboard contents.
