Most motherboards have two/four slots for installation. They're located near the CPU, again on most motherboards. Also motherboards may have a preferred method for installing RAM, so it's good to check the manual that comes with the board.
Line up the notch in the stick of RAM to the break in the slot. Different generations of RAM have the slit in a different spot. It's important to line that up with the gap in the DIMM slot.
Once the clamps are seated and secure, the RAM sticks have been properly installed. To uninstall or replace the RAM just press down on the clamps on either side of the stick and pull out.
