- Click on the WiFi icon in your taskbar.
- Select your unique home network. This is technically called the "SSID" and is sometimes labelled on the side or bottom of your Northwestel wireless internet modem. If you don't know this information, then you should contact Northwestel with your account number, and they can help you with this part of the process. If you're at a public location, and administrator or employee should be able to help with this information.
- Click Connect. Then enter the password for your network.
- Important: The next step asks if you want your PC to be discoverable. This means if you select yes, other computers on the network may have access to your files. If you're at home, this is a good idea sometimes. If you're accessing the internet on a public connection like at the Library or Tim Hortons, it's important that you select "No".
- You should now be connected! Enjoy your internet responsibly!
