<aside> 📌 In this video, you’ll see he uses a search bar in the taskbar. We’ve hidden that because it gives you more taskbar space, and you can type searches when the Start menu is open to get to the same results. If you want that enabled again, you can right click on the taskbar, then go up to Search, and you can choose if you want a search icon, or the search box.

You can hit the Windows Key on the bottom left of the keyboard, and the Start menu will come up. You can hit it again to minimize the Start menu.
Rather than clicking in any search box, once you open the Start menu, you can just start typing and Windows will perform a search. You’ll find that a search box will appear at the bottom. As you type, Windows will continuously search for the closest match. After you’re done typing, if you still don’t see what you’re looking for at the top, you can use the up and down arrow keys to navigate to a different result. If what you’re looking for is highlighted, you can hit Enter to open the program or file.
If you hold the Windows Key on the bottom left side of your keyboard (near Ctrl), then tap on the arrow keys, the window that you currently have selected will snap to different sides of the screen depending on the arrows you use.
So for your first window, you can snap it to the left side by holding the Windows Key, then pressing the left arrow. You can then select another window and do the same thing except for with the right arrow key.
Further than that, once a Window is snapped to a side, you can then choose the up or down arrow if you’d like it to only take up a quarter of your screen.
You may have noticed that some of the programs that you likely use fairly often like Firefox stick around on the taskbar at the bottom, or are stuck inside the Start menu for easy access. You may have other programs that you like to use often, but that icon disappears when you close the program.
The good news is that you can pin whichever programs you choose to either of these locations for easier access.
Begin by opening the Start menu and searching for your favourite program. Once you find it, right click on the icon, and you’ll be presented with this menu (where I right clicked on Camera.
In the right-click menu, you can choose to Pin that application to the Start Menu, and/or if you prefer, you can click on More to open an extended menu, and Pin that application to your taskbar so it’s even more convenient to open each time.
